23 July. Beirut -Athens- Nafplio
Arrival at Athens airport and departure to Nafplio. On the way stop at Korinthos to see the canal of Corinth, the departure to Nafplio. Arrival. Check-in. Time to rest, then departure for a walking City tour of Nafplio. Free time at leisure. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Nafplio.
24 July. Nafplio-Monemvasia-Sparta
Morning departure to Monemvasia. Arrival to Monemvasia, then proceed with a walking city tour within the walls of the Byzantine city. Free time at leisure at Monemvasia then departure to Sparta for Dinner and overnight. (Time permitted. Optional embarkation to Elafoniso for swimming).
25 July. Sparta – Mystra – Kalamata
Breakfast and departure to visit the remains of the Byzantine Monastic city of Mystra. Later on, departure to Kalamata. See the highlights of Kalamata, including the Church of Ypapanti and the 11th-century Church of Agioi Apostoli and the cave-style St. John Church. Free time at leisure for shopping or swimming at one of the many organized sandy beaches of Kalamata. Return to the hotel at Sparta. Dinner and overnight.
26 July. Sparta-The chapel of St. Theodora Vastas-The monastery of St John the Baptist
Breakfast and departure to one of the most beautiful villages of Greece Andritsaina. On the way visit the chapel of St Theodora in Vastas and Have lunch at a riverside restaurant nearby. After Lunch departure to visit the monastery of St John the baptist near Dimitsana, Check in at the hotel. Free time at leisure at Andritsaina and overnight at Andritsaina.
27 July. Ancient Olympia-Pyrgos
Morning departure to Pyrgos. On the way visit the Archaeological site of Olympia and its Museum. then departure to visit some of the most important monasteries of Pyrgos. Such as the Monastery of St. Nicolas Fragopedematos, the monastery of Panagia Kremasti and the holy monastery of Sepetou. Arrival to Pyrgos. Check in at the hotel. Dinner at a local tavern in Pyrgos. Overnight
28 July. Pyrgos Zakintos
After breakfast, departure to Killini. Arrival and embarkation to the island of Zakynthos Arrival and direct visit the Monastery and Church of St. Denis, where we will worship the imperishable body of Saint Dionysius. Then to the churches of our Lady of Anafonitria and the church of St George of the cliffs. Afternoon at leisure for swimming and relaxing at one of the beautiful sandy beaches of the island. Return to Pyrgos. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Pyrgos.
29 July. Pyrgos-Patra- Athens
Breakfast and departure to visit the museum of the antique technology which is a small museum. The exhibition includes a collection of mechanisms and inventions from 2000 B.C up until 100 A.D. The museum offers audio-visual support for the better experience of the visitor. All museum’s items are explained by labels that come with, in English. Departure to Patra. Visit the cathedral of St Andrew worship the relics of the saint and the cross where the Saint has been crucified. Then continue to Athens, passing by the nunnery of Panachrandou at Megara. Arrival to Athens. In e evening departure for dinner at a local restaurant with live Greek music and traditional dances. Overnight in Athens.
30 July. Athens – Aegina
In noon time departure to the port of Piraeus and embarkation to Aegina. Arrival and direct visit the nunneries of St Nektarios and St Katherine. Free time at leisure for optional lunch or shopping or swimming. In the afternoon embarkation to Piraeus. Arrival at the hotel.
31 July. Athens – Beirut
Breakfast and departure for Athens City tour including Acropolis and the Byzantine museum. Afternoon free at leisure for shopping, then transfer to the airport for the flight back to Beirut.
